A Prayer For Single Mothers

Lord, I’m bringing all my single mothers to You today. I lift up the mother who is carrying the weight of her household alone. You know her heart, her to-do list, and exactly how tired she feels right now.

First, I ask that You would just let her breathe. In the middle of the school runs, the bills, and the ‘mom-guilt’ that tries to creep in, wrap Your arms around her. You see every hidden tear and every sacrifice made in the quiet of the night. Please remind her that she doesn’t have to be everything today, because You already are.

When she feels like she’s failing, whisper the truth to her: that she is more than enough and that You chose her specifically for her children for a reason. May she feel Your presence over her children, protecting them in their coming and going when she cannot be there.

Give her an overflow of Your peace to replace her worry and a ‘holy second wind’ when the house is loud and her patience is thin.

And Father, would You please provide for her in ways that blow her mind this year? Surprise her with a blessing she didn’t see coming—a financial breakthrough, a moment of pure rest, or a friend who shows up with coffee and an ear to listen. Let her know she isn’t just getting by, but that she is the daughter of the King, and she is never, ever doing this alone.

Let her 2026 be a year of healing from the past and stepping into the joy You have prepared for her family’s future. Surround her with a godly community—sisters in Christ who will hold up her arms when she is weary.

We’re claiming a 2026 full of joy and only God moments for her.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
